HALLOWEEN 2011

For the Halloween parade at preschool Izaac was going to be a knight.  I had him all ready in his costume but about 10 mins before we had to leave he decided the costume was "too scratchy" and refused to leave the house.  Luckily I managed to find a Ninja costume in the dress up box that he agreed to wear and I persuaded him to go to preschool.  During the parade he became embarassed though and  pulled the hood down to cover his face. Oh well, at least he was there.

For Halloween Kenna wanted to be Rapunzel from the movie Tangled.  So we got her a long blonde wig which turned out to be a right pain as it became "tangled" way too easily.  We probably should'nt have bothered with the wig seeing as she has long blonde hair anyway.  She really enjoyed being able to wear make-up as she isn't normally allowed to wear it.  

Jake dressed up as the mad hatter and went out with his friends Alex and McKinley.  They didn't want to go out with the younger ones as they were on a mission to see how much candy they could get.  They wanted to go as fast as possible and didn't want to be slowed down by the younger ones.  Jake came back with so much that Paul and I had to help him out by taking a few of our favourite chocolate bars from him (we didn't want him to get sick). 

Michael and his friend Mackenzie went out trick or treating with Charly, Kenna and Izaac for a while.  Then Michael and Mackenzie went to hang out with some friends and Paul finished taking them out.  Charly's costume was the game Twister made into a dress and a hat.  She actually won a prize for her costume at school.  Meanwhile Izaac didn't want to be a Ninja anymore and we pulled out yet another costume for him to wear - a horse!!
